Don’t guess when it comes to Dangerous Goods.
Dangerous goods are a challenge to get right. It’s important to partner with a freight forwarder who has the knowledge and conscience to ensure that you, the carrier, the public and your client is not exposed to undue risk. We can provide advise on where to locate paperwork and we will provide a completed consignment note and declaration. Our preference is to utilise rail freight to transport dangerous goods, where practical. We have the ability to air freight dangerous goods, when the rare situation arises that demands this service. Other items we transport are under Quarantine or Customs Control. We’ve transported deep sea core sample for decontamination, Rose petals from Monet’s garden and goods subject to Excise tax and duty.

If you’ve ever seen a copy of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code, or the International Air Transport Association’s Dangerous Goods Regulations, you’ll know that they make for poor bedtime reading. No longer is it enough to not put corrosive next to flammable, there is a whole range of technicalities that must be identified and special provisions that can be utilised. Contact us to talk about how we can help navagate the minefield.
